About Us

Founded in 2006 and backed by private equity and Enterprise Ireland, InTime Media combines Television, Mobile Phones and InTime's Apps to create a new relationship between Audiences, Broadcasters / Format Owners and Brands.

Our apps bring true interactivity. By bringing the phone to life, synchronising the app in real time with what's happening on the show they are watching, broadcasters can engage the audience by making them feel part of the show; brands sponsoring a show can go a step beyond simple brand association to create direct, opted-in relationships with the show's viewers.

Based on years of development, trialling and testing, with continuing input from broadcasters and programme makers, our apps cover the majority of mobile handsets on the market today, across Java, Symbian, iPhone, Android, Windows Mobile and BlackBerry, and we continue our ongoing development and testing to ensure we are ahead of the game as new handsets reach the market.

The people behind InTime Media have a wealth of relevant market experience:

Gordon Simpson - CEO

Gordon Simpson - CEO

Gordon's experience in the interactive industry dates back over 20 years to a previous company he formed, which was responsible for much of the early creation and development of interactive information, entertainment, promotional and marketing services for Europe's media industry. As co-founder, he then launched and, as CEO, ran what became Europe's most successful pan-European Internet marketing and advertising sales business - with 18 offices in 13 countries across Europe, it was the first company to take online advertising onto mobile phones, through both SMS and WAP.

Mark Smith - CTO

Mark Smith

Having played a key role in the success and sale of Red Fig Ltd., Mark has an unrivalled understanding of both broadcasting and mobile phone technology. Having ironed out the well known obstacles faced by others, Mark has turned mobile into the true interactive device to be used with TV or Radio.

Julian Ellison - COO

Julian Ellison

An honours graduate from Balliol College in Oxford, Julian set-up the very first BBC internet venture back in 1994. Continuing to lead the way for broadcasters. Julian founded and was Technical Director with Red Fig Ltd, a company which linked TV broadcasting to telephony, SMS, Red Button and the web concurrently. Red Fig facilitated voting for all major UK broadcasters and some well known programmes such as 'I'm a Celebrity...'. Julian successfully sold Red Fig in 1995 and now sees InTime Media helping broadcasters to re-engage and excite audiences in a new manner.

Xavier Jané - Latin Markets Operations Director

Xavier Jané

Xavier, having previously worked with Gordon in the interactive industry, joined up with him once more to launch their new Internet marketing and advertising company. Xavier, then based in Miami, was the company's CEO in charge of Latin American operations. Prior to InTime Media, Xavier launched and ran a Miami company that developed and managed SMS services for US and Latin American satellite channels targeting TV viewers in southern Europe.
